All American Red Cross disaster assistance is FREE, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people.

You can help the victims of disasters like the single family fires that occur every year and the tornados and floods that occur every so often in Lawrence, Martin, & Orange Counties - by making a financial gift to the Hoosier Hills Chapter, which enables the local Red Cross to be prepared to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to local victims of disaster. Your contribution means a great deal to the organization, but even more to the families who rely on the Red Cross to help them through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

 

We need your ongoing support in keeping America strong, through these vital programs-Disaster Relief Services, 24-hour Service to our Armed Forces, Critical Lifesaving Classes, and Bloodmobiles to provide life-giving blood.

But the Red Cross is not a government agency, we must rely on the generosity of the American public for all our services. With your monetary support to the Hoosier Hills Chapter, we will continue to be here - in Lawrence, Martin, and Orange Counties - providing for health & safety preparedness, for Service to Armed Forces familes, supporting Bloodmobiles as well as preparing and responding to disaster. With your support, you will always have your Red Cross Chapter giving service for today and hope for tomorrow.

Check the online directory of matching gift companies to find out if your company will match your
Red Cross gift. If they do match, remember to follow your organization's matching gift process.

The American Red Cross uses your monetary gift exactly as you designate it. If you want your donation to be used for a specific purpose, please indicate that on your check or if you call. Contributions can be made for use by the Hoosier Hills  Red Cross chapter in all its missions, for local disaster relief, or to the National American Red Cross to use wherever there is a disaster that is larger than normal for local Chapters (indicate you want to donate to the National Disaster Relief Fund). If you wish to make a contribution to other American Red Cross initiatives, the volunteer at 1-812-275-5162 will assist you further. When you want to be a good neighbor, the Red Cross listens to where you want to help. If you designate a particular use, your money will not be used for anything else. General contributions are most useful because needs change from time to time. However, donations specifically for local Disaster Services are always welcome. The Hoosier Hills Chapter helps local victims of fire and flood and storm damage year round.

Donate Stock

Thank you for your interest in and generous support of the American Red Cross. Electronic delivery of stock shares is the most secure and expedient delivery process available and provides efficient internal control as well as cost savings. However, you may also transfer certificates directly. To help you facilitate a gift of stock, please use the following instructions.

Step 1: Initiate the Transfer
The gifting Securities to the American Red Cross Hoosier Hills Chapter requires that the paper certificates be mailed to the Hoosier Hill Chapter. Contact your Broker to initiate the transfer to the Hoosier Hills Chapter.

1a. Securities Delivered by Mail

Mail unendorsed certificate(s) and stock power, in separate envelopes, by registered mail, to:

1b. Notification of Donor Intent

In addition to working with your broker to complete the physical transfer of stock, be sure to provide the Hoosier Hills Red Cross with information about how you would like your gift directed and to receive your gift receipt for audit and acknowledgment purposes: .

The donor or the transferring broker must provide the following information

Donor's name and complete address
Name and number of securities transferred
Specific Red Cross program to which gift should be directed, if any

You may use the gift form, provide a letter, or send an e-mail to communicate this information at time of transfer to:
